Opium Ordinance Enacted by Vern City Council
The Vern City Council passes an ordinance prohibiting opium and narcotics in all forms. Persons under twenty one may be fined up to 25 dollars for possession or sale. All conflicting ordinances are repealed and the measure takes effect immediately after publication. Mayor David Tonnion approved February 1913.
