Soil Conservation Districts Active Across Uintah Basin
Team work between farmers and the Uintah Basin Soil Conservation District has driven soil conservation efforts on 229,441 acres in 1946. New board supervisors guided by federal and state specialists promoted equipment, drainage, irrigation improvements, and land leveling while expanding cooperative agreements to cover 228,413 privately owned acres with 184 cooperators and 24 new operators this year.
