Weathered headboards mark Graves at Dinosaur Approach
In the winter of 1915 16 snowdrifts blocked burial near the Douglass homestead in northeastern Utah delaying the deceased Grandfather Douglass body’s shipment home. Aunt Nettle Douglass, initially bitter, insisted burial be temporary until spring thaw allowed removal for a proper burial in civilization. Nine years after his death she suffered a stroke and, near death, softened to the pioneer life as the tale ends.
