Fire damages Colton Co store in early morning blaze
A blaze at 4 a m gutted the upper floor of D Colton & Co store causing heavy smoke and water damage to dry goods and clothing. About 50 volunteers, led by Mrs BS Collett and local workers, battled the fire, saved items, and returned some goods to shelves by daylight. Estimated damage around $1000.

December Sith Contest Awards at Vernal
