Vernal Commercial Club forms with 79 members
The Vernal board of governors met at the Uliah Abstract Company and appointed Nerbert Tyzach treasurer with bond of 1000 dollars. A secretary will be chosen soon. The club aims for 100 to 160 members, with $5 initiation and $1 monthly dues. A new headquarters in the Hullinger brick building near the Vernal Shery barn was readied.

A Good Play At Vernal Opera House Delights Crowd
A well received production of The Rio Grande was staged Wednesday and Thursday by the Vernal Second Ward Amusement Company under John Uoyer. N G Sowards led as Jose Segura with a full cast delivering strong performances and lengthy, demanding lines. An orchestra under Prof Peter Hangon provided fitting music and a free Christmas event at the Congregational church followed. John T Pope returned to Ogden after several days in town.

Large Uintah County placer deal seals sale to Denver group
A major Uintah County land deal closed this week by Richard A. Leigh of Denver transfers 740 acres of Green Floor placer ground above Jensen from local owners to a Denver capitallots group for 76 000 dollars. An expert Denver mining engineer represented the buyers and says the company will invest about 260 000 dollars in machinery and equipment and start operations once spring thaws allow work.
