Gilbert Anderson rushed to Vernal for appendicitis surgery. Luke Thompson and Dr L Bille accompanied him and his wife. Mr and Mrs Voss and three children visited Vernal to shop. Community Notes and Local Visits Highlight December Activities
Jensen Seto and Rollef society members met at Leil Snow's home where Jessie Wall led a lesson. A birthday luncheon honored December 1 birthdays and plans were made for the annual Christmas party at the Ward house. Lloyd Gilroy returned from Salt Lake City with his daughter Pear after hospital visits. no operation was needed. Ruben Pearce, 10, sustained a broken arm. the cast was removed and a new accident occurred when she tripped near a bus. Walter Spencer returned from the Veterans hospital, showing health improvements. Harold M Lundell and J Walace Johnson served as home missionaries at sacrament meeting. Wild Rose club members traveled to Vernal for a meeting at Florence Kelly's home with Alice Snow in charge. A Will Rogers sketch by Alice Snow and guests from Mrs Guyletta Campbell Olive Snow and Sarah M Ainge were present. A school operaette is planned for Friday evening at 7:30, followed by a children's dance.

WPA crew shifts to Ouray for Duchesne river bridge work
In Vernal on Saturday Mr and Mrs Calvin Jorgensen and children and Robert Hovey joined the group. The WPA crew on the Todd dugway at Balard moved to Ouray to work on the swimming bridge across the Duchesne river. Eight inches of snow and a 26 degree low marked real winter weather at Green River pump site. Roosevelt visitors included Mrs Esme Stoddard and daughter Louisa.
