Lapoint School Christmas Spirit and Operetta Preparations
In Lapoint School the first and second graders decorate and rehearse for a Christmas operetta for parents. They display a new fifty star flag from the American Legion and salute it weekly. Third and fourth graders craft candy canes, holly wreaths, and a large “The Night Before Christmas” mural while preparing a lively program titled HEIGH HOL IT'S XMAS with songs and performances. Esther, Dahlia, Mia Vervene Rasmussen, and others contribute, and dental checkups by Mrs. Alta Rust are noted as praise for brushing. The pledge of Allegiance is recited twice weekly.
