At a recent council meeting the resignations of Marshal Henry Toster and Night Watchman Andrew King were accepted. Fred Wood was appointed marshal and William Preece night watchman, though Preece was found ineligible as a nonresident. They reportedly planned to alternate duties, possibly monthly.
An old advertisement proclaims Dr King’s New Discovery as a universal remedy for pneumonia colds and coughs. It includes a testimonial from George W Place of Rawsonville VI and offers a trial bottle free at local druggists with a price of 60 cents to a dollar.
Notices include probate claims for George Kissing ton and Willan Spence estates with April 1913 and April 1914 deadlines, plus multiple water right applications by Sanjasmin Maddux and J M Cunningham in Uintah County Utah. Also Federal land and foreclosure notices, assessments, and publication deadlines for Vernal and White Rocks areas.
Gale Tanner, State Engineer, notices Utah Diversion of 0.02 cubic feet per second from Upper Tabyn go Seep in Uintah County for stock watering. Water to be diverted 1806 feet south and 3176 feet west of section 14, township 14 south range 19 east, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. Use January 1 to December 31 yearly. Protests due within 30 days after notice publication. First published December 4, 1912. Completion January 13, 1913.
