Brush Creek RCA Plans and Habitat Restoration Projects
The Brush Creek Resource Conservation Area near Vernal Utah spans about 5,000 acres on public lands managed by the BLM. Completed range projects replaced sagebrush with grasses on 450 acres and used soil disruption, seeding, and tree removal on 800 acres to establish new plants. New dam construction and game closures will protect topsoil and enable study of plant use inside fenced enclosures. Wildlife and livestock management aims to guide future BLM practices on the area.
