Burglars Raid Vernal Drug Store From Skylight
Sometime between Friday night and Saturday burglars climbed to Vernal Drug Store through a skylight, stole about 230 dollars from three registers, tampered with a safe meant to hold 2000 dollars, and escaped unseen aided by a power outage and a dark alley. The theft was reported by store employee Joseph C. Thust and is under sheriff investigation with insurance covering the loss.

Funeral Set for J T Hartison 63 Heart Casualty
Funeral services for Jeremiah Slatch Morrison 63 farmer and rancher will be held Saturday at noon in Lapoint Weld Chapel. He died in his sleep Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, apparently of a heart attack. Burial will be in Lapoint Cemetery. He was born October 22, 1884 in Vernal.

Defense Spending Perils New Starts In Reclamation Work
