March of Dimes officers named in Uintah County
Leadership for the January campaign in Uintah County was announced with Community Directors appointed by County Campaign Director Mrs. Wm. A. Jacobe. The new officers will organize hundreds of local volunteers as the January drive opens the day after New Year’s. Funds will support birth defect research and care at local and national centers, with strong community support urged to eliminate birth defects affecting many future parents.

Bastian Baby Funeral Friday
Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. in the Seventh Ward Glines Ward Chapel for Donette Bastian six month old baby who died Tuesday evening at Uintah County Hospital after a short illness. She was born June 10 1964 in Vernal to J Golden and Lara Johnson Bastian. Survivors include three brothers five sisters and three grandparents. Friends may call at the Vernal Mortuary Thursday evening and Friday prior to services. Burial will be in Maeser Cemetery.
