Film highlights Flaming Gorge area with regional support
Manila Manila and Daggett County are to be represented in a film showcasing scenic and industrial developments since the Flaming Gorge Recreational System was formed. The project will feature boat docks campgrounds fishing hunting and facilities for tourists in Sheep Creek Canyon and the High Uinta s. Manila's progress will also be included as plans call for urgent local cooperation and support from Daggett County Lions Club and local businesses.

Farmers to Get Assistance With Tax Forms
Utah State University sponsors a tax help program for farmers with Salt Lake IRS district aid. Extension agents receive training in federal income taxes and tax return prep and will conduct seminars across counties. Training began December 1 at the U S Courthouse and Post Office Building in Salt Lake City, with Revenue Agent instructors Ernest M. Chamberlain and William T. Crosby leading sessions.

Items for sale included pillow cases quilts table cloths aprons and toys while door prizes went to Earl Moore Stanley Nebeker Quint Pickup and Eddie Jensen. Darrell Stoddard of Salt Lake City stayed with his uncle Walter Stoddard. An Elders party was hosted by Mr. and Mrs Earl Gardner in Ballard with locals Jess Jensen Robert Marshall Gilbert McKenna Ivan Nogers and Lyle Eklund in attendance. A genealogy film by Elva Timothy from Vernal followed a Friday night dinner. November 21 Avalon mutual presented Memories a musical program during an amenity raising project. Max Jensen’s son Denis was baptized Saturday night and confirmed Sunday by Ivan Rogers.
