The Express records the death of Mrs Annie Powell on December 4 at 2 pm due to childbirth complications and heart failure. Born June 20 1863 in Tichton Yorkshire England, she was 63 years old. Survived by her husband Alfred Powell and six young children. Funeral services were held yesterday in Naples with community sympathy expressed for the bereaved family.

Under date of Nov 30 1898 a report from John Ho Davy troop H and US Cavalry notes a ritler bias and malaria fever confinement. Aber is ill and expected to recover at home soon. The fragmentary text hints at a wartime update with names and places in a hurried telegraphic style.
Notices to stockholders of Ashley Central Irrigation Co warn that the 1898 assessment is delinquent and must be paid within eight days from the date. otherwise the delinquent stock will be advertised and sold to cover the debt. Dated December 8, 1894. By order of the Board, J. M. Shaffer secretary. The Chicago Store promotes cheap shoes, including felt shoes, claiming quality at low prices.
