Commissioners plan service and hospital debate in Uintah
Local officials discussed deferring state welfare actions until county boards review a merit system plan. Uintah county mulls hospital takeover, funds possible from a legacy hospital bequest, and a citizen committee will study the issue by December 10. The first peacetime muster for Utahns set for January 12 will mobilize about 2300 National Guard members for federal service in California, with training to follow for a year before home return.
