Funeral Services for John Nathan Packer Held at Ashley
John Nathan Packer aged 28 died in Salt Lake City last week from pneumonia. Funeral services were held Thanksgiving Day at 11 oclock in the school house with Bishop Alma Preece presiding. Speakers included Carl Preece and Bishop Preece. burial followed at Vernal cemetery. He is survived by his mother Vilate Packer Kempton of Vernal and several half siblings. Out-of-town attendees included Norman Winn, William R Enright, and Virginia Ervin from Salt Lake City. Packer was to wed Mrs Ervin on January 13.
