Brahma Bulls Too Tough For Western Rodeo Clown
SUN VALLEY Aug 195? Homer Holcomb a famed intermountain rodeo clown remained in Halley hospital after two bull confrontations left him with two broken ribs and possible internal injuries. He had taunted Brahma bulls during Sun Valley’s final show before a record 7000 crowd. After a first bull struck him in the chest and toppled him, he returned briefly. a second bull struck from behind, again tossing him. Holcomb’s injuries followed an otherwise bright sequence of performances at the event. His brother Elmer attended Vernal Rodeo this month. Next year’s AAA farm program will stress soil conservation and tailor to farms, per Utah AAA committee chair B H Stringham, reflecting input from the National AAA conference.
