Local Lapoint residents welcomed returning soldiers on furlough and hosted visits from relatives and friends. A baby girl was born to Bishop and Mrs George Hecking. Visitors from Park City Vernal and Salt Lake joined community members in daily tasks and social events including a chapel party and a stockyard run to Salt Lake.
Residents from Vernal Myton Deep Creek and Nampa visited Tharmer Rasmussen and family and Mr and Mrs Walt Penfold during the week. Nebeker kin from Myton Myton and Salt Lake joined Mrs Hall from Salt Lake and Harold Swain and wife in visiting relatives. Bishop Gebrie Hecking Bigelow Trelma Winn L Walker and Haym Foster attended Sacrament meeting with solo by Cloyd Kump accompanied by Barbara Rasmussen.

Mr and Mrs J L Kitchen visit Salt Lane Cy and Moab for fruit with family and soldiers on furlough. Residents travel to California and Utah, work on coal prospects, and plan camp returns. 4H club awards, camp activities, and a wartime price pledge drive by Bee Hive and OPA members described.
