A severe hail storm struck Jensen on the 16th at 8:20 PM, smashing fruit trees, vines, and ripened grain along Green River. Heavy hail, from 1/8 to 1 1/4 inches, damaged windows and roofs, killed poultry, and left fields and orchards stripped. The village authorities and county officials urged spraying, pruning, and proper fruit cultivation to combat pests and future losses.
Orchard notes call for spraying fruit trees and shrubs in Uintah County stating it is now necessary. June saw gooseberry bushes stripped of foliage by wortux insects.

Delinquents will receive a personal notice.
