Five Year Old Burned as Gas Lamp Explodes
George Thompson working in the mines at Watson fixed a gas lamp when pressure caused an explosion. His five year old son watching his father was fatally burned by burning gasoline soaking his clothing. The child died Tuesday evening at 10 o clock after being rushed to a Vernal doctor. Funeral services were held at the John Cook home in Naples with Bishop Alfred Simper presiding. Interment followed at Vernal cemetery.

Employee at K Ranch Dies by Own Action Wednesday
County Attorney J. T. McConnell said a ranch employee committed death by own action Wednesday night at the K Ranch. Owner Thomas Morgan could not recall the man’s name, though he had worked there a year. Sheriff Blevens and Dr. Clayton the coroner planned to investigate, arriving Thursday evening.
