Sage grouse season opens Sept 12 13 in many counties. others closed. Chukar and Hungarian partridge run Sept 19 to Dec 31 with bag 5 and possession 10. Uintah High School to Open With Largest Enrollment
Uintah High School will open August 31 with an anticipated 650 students, 85 more than last year, and seven new classrooms ready. Principal Leland G. Rex announced the fully staffed high school will offer expanded courses including German, secretarial science, and biology. Registration runs August 21 for seniors, August 24 for juniors, August 25 for district newcomers, and August 27 for sophomores, with fees and books on register days.

Congress Bill to Establish Flaming Gorge Recreation Area
Sen. Walter Bennett joined Sen. Gale McGee in sponsoring a bill to create the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area in Utah and Wyoming.
