Sixty years ago this week August 11 1900 Eldére John McConkie and his family with his mother arrived from Moab after twenty eight months of missionary labor in West Virginia. A son was born to Mr and Mrs A M Ross of Glines. Charles O Welch has been released and will return home during the coming week. Fire fighting machinery ordered by the city last spring will arrive shortly. A girl born to Mrs Frank Match on Saturday August 4. John and Eval Young wed at Manti Temple recently. Two local young men Leslie Atwood and Adl Young plan to leave soon for foreign mission service in New Zealand for several years.
