Bonanza Coking Plant Plans to Double Uintah Payroll
Bonanza Coking Plant seeks to double Uintah county payroll if gilsonite coking tests prove favorable. John Baker of American Gilsonite says a 1000 ton per day plant could cost 6 to 10 million dollars with 50 new jobs and a 60 foot coking tower. Seven gilsonite runs have been processed in a test, yielding high grade coke used by aluminum mills and gas production for gasoline.
