Honor Society Activities At Ashley Valley Junior High
The Honor Society met in the lunch room on Tuesday April 2. Committees were assigned to publicity for plays. Induction ceremony for the year was discussed. Rehearsals for plays will begin. Primary elections for next year’s secretary and vice president were held. voting was by secret ballot in first period. Two parties formed for student body officers the Comancheros and the Diamond Heads. Comancheros listed Vernon Stanfill Gardiner Robbins. Diamond Heads listed Colabella Hail Cundick Brown. The group held a cupcake sale April 5 with proceeds to the Honor Society fund. Ninth grade students are submitting wills for publication in May. Top posters honored: LeAnn Hoopes ninth grade, Connie Gardiner eighth grade, Connie Freestone seventh grade. The Varsity band began morning practice. other music groups prepare for spring festival.

AVJH Students Return After Spring Vacation Absence
AVJH students will resume classes tomorrow following a school disruption cited as a spring vacation. Mr Harmon is scheduled to return to school duties, ending the unexpected absence and reestablishing the regular schedule.

County Agent Urges Test for Bangs Disease
County Agent Ben Lindsay urges livestock owners in Utah County to blood test for Bangs disease. Richard Olsen of the U S Department of Animal Disease Eradication works with the State Department of Agriculture to stop spread. Olsen is available by request through the county agent for testing mature cows and other animals.
