Grandson of Firam Richardson Dies After Operation
The three month old grandson of Mr and Mrs Firam Richardson Merril of Provo died Sunday in Provo after an operation for intestinal trouble. The funeral was held Tuesday with Bishop Wilbur Sowards presiding. Burial was in the Provo cemetery. One brother Hal survives along with his parents and grandmother Mrs Merrill. Mrs Richardson left Tuesday morning to attend the funeral.

Pioneer Cattleman of Nine Mile Buried Tuesday at Randlett
Pioneer rancher Clark Elmer died after a three month illness of heart disease at his home in Randlett. Born June 11 1871 he worked in Nine Mile canyon before moving to Randlett and briefly Prescott Arizona. Survived by Harriet Elmer three daughters a son and two sisters. Funeral services were held at the Episcopal church with burial in Marsden City cemetery.

Uintah Basin Steers Top Salt Lake Market
Uintah Basin steers led the Salt Lake market with top prices on Silt Lane last week. Duchesne County consignors JA and T BA Gatbert of Arcadia shipped Bas hred white faced calves finished on alfalfa hay and grain, with ten head at 460 per cwt and two at 410 per cwt. Holstein steers brought 350 per cwt while two dairy cows sold for 100 per cwt and one casiner dairy cow at 200 per cent. Basin buyers reported success from trucking their own stock to market rather than selling to truckers.
