Snow Surveys Forecast Normal Water Supply for 1945
Ashley National Forest snow surveys indicate a near normal 1945 water supply for forest watersheds. Measurements show 81 inches water content versus a 14 year average of 80 inches, with some districts reporting lower 1945 content than 1944. Ranger Glen A Lambert notes 120 inches on the Vernal course, while Whiterocks and Lake Fork districts show varied content and depths, all suggesting a mixed runoff outlook across the Ashley and Uinta river drainages.
