Vernal to Receive Kiwanis Charter Saturday Here
Vernal is set to join International Kiwanis with the charter presentation by District Governor Platt W. Fuller of Ogden. About 250 visiting Kiwanians and wives from Utah Idaho and Colorado will attend Charter Night events including a banquet at Imperial Hall and a keynote by George H. Lowe Oxden attorney and International Trustee.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Vernal Second Ward chapel for George O Walker 62 Vernal merchant who died Sunday afternoon of a heart attack Born June 1 1884 in St Joseph Arizona he came to Vernal at age 20 and married Florence Winn August 13 1912 He worked for Newton Bros and 24 years with Ashton Bros Co At his death he was employed by Searle's Saving Center He leaves a wife two daughters and five sons plus a brother and two sisters Burial at Vernal Memorial Park under Swain Funeral Home direction
