William Orville Allison was arrested May 31 on a Turtle River farm in Kidder county North Dakota after being sought as Wade Robinson’s killer from Landersville. He denied the murder while Ralph Broom confessed to shooting Robinson though later recanted. Both men were later jailed together and Broom admitted the shooting was his, not Allison.

The Grant County Board of Charities and Corrections submits its public report. On May 18, 20 prisoners were housed with two awaiting trial and sixteen men plus one woman serving sentences. The Orphans Home housed seventy four children from the county and Adams and Wells counties, plus five babies and one feeble minded child. The poor asylum had forty nine persons with various health conditions.
