Brother of Mrs Compton 3 Dead
Sylvester Jobson, brother of Mrs Mooi Compton of Van Buren, died Thursday age 63. Born near Liberty in Union County, he moved to Wayne County as a youth, taught school fourteen years, served as Wayne County auditor, and helped develop Prvington now part of Prevington suburb. An original Prohibitionist, he helped found the Indiana Horticultural Society and chaired Purdue University trustees. He rarely drank or used tobacco and remained active despite aging.
