Beauchamp Delivers Sunny Side Lecture at Van Buren Opera House

Lou J Beauchamp gave his final lecture of the year at Van Buren Opera House to a small audience. The talk titled Take the Sunny Side drew praise for humor and provocative views on crime, church missions, and social habits. Beauchamp, from Hamilton Ohio, recalled losing his possessions in the 1913 flood.

Graduation exercises for Farrville teachers training class

Hamilton Byall Dies After Gallstone Operation

Wealth farmer Hamilton Byall of Jackson Township Wells County died at 2:30 pm Saturday at Hope hospital Ft Wayne after gallstone removal surgery. Survived by widow and six children. son of John and Magdalena Byall. grandfather James Byall wartime soldier. Funeral held Tuesday at 10 am with burial in Asbury cemetery.

Infant Hilton Troth Bell Dies Near Van Buren

Hilton Troth Bell, about six weeks old and weighing three pounds at birth, died Monday night near Van Buren. Private funeral services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon with burial in Van Buren cemetery. Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. Warley Bell and their family.

H S Knight the barber leases four acres to grow a tomato crop and has accepted a ten dollar wager from Johan that Imao can eat every tomato produced. Knight plans an intensive crop expecting a record breaking yield.

Present Church Receives 7796 Acres In Jackson Township

A deed filed with the County Recorder at Bluffton transfers 7796 acres in Jackson township from Mr and Mrs J K Clark to the Warren Baptist church trustees. The church gains ownership upon the deaths of the Clarks, who will reside on the farm and draw all benefits until then. Trustees named are Isaac A Smith Eli N Morris and Ernest Jones.

Marion workers hold service at local Methodist church

A party of religious workers led by M. Tino and including ex sheriff Tony George and W. F Ensen will conduct a gospel service at the Marion Methodist Church Sunday night. The visitors, converted during the Lyon revival, have since traveled to many places sharing evangelistic efforts. All are invited to attend.
