Union Pacific Railroad Company announces its annual stockholders meeting at the company’s office in Salt Lake City Utah on Tuesday October 13 1908 at twelve noon. Directors to be elected funds and mortgage amendments to be approved and stock transfer hours posted. Excursion to Salt Lake City offered September 14 for 140 round trip tickets valid to September 19.

The county convention for nominating county officers is set for the Ist of May, with delegates to the state and judicial conventions to follow on the 37th. Chairman Thomas reports strong organization progress and favorable outlook for the party’s success in Weber County and the state.
In a district convention the chair praised harmony among Democrats and said Republicans favor the Democratic ticket this year. The chairman warned against wavering and that the party would name the right ticket soon.
