In Hrenver Colorado on November 16 a proxy marriage from January was not confirmed. Bride Eugenia Campbell of the island of Jara and Bist Eugenia Campbell returned from a Denver trip of about 20 000 miles. Postmaster 10 Be Reinstate at Winnetka Illinois

Washington reports definite instructions from the White House to reinstate George Burkitt as assistant postmaster at Winnetka Illinois. The order specifies no other charges are pending beyond criticism of the president for his engagement. The case was reopened and Burkitt was unconditionally reinstated with dispatch. Embassy Strikes Prompt Bribe Charge in Cleveland

In Cleveland on November 6 Ileos Lochle an immigration officer testified before Mayor Newton D. Baker about a strike at the Throder Kundtz factory. He alleged an Austro-Hungarian embassy adviser offered to “sell out” the strikers for six thousand dollars, a dictagraph record used as proof. Lochle noted most Kundtz workers are Austro-Hungarians and linked the embassy to perceived disloyalty.

Rev Father Ryan Welcomed as New Ogden Pastor

Rev Father John Ryan, recently named pastor of the Fil New parish by Bishop Joseph S. Grant of Salt Lake, was warmly received in Ogden. He had served nine years under Father J. M. Curhmalen at St Joseph’s Church, building many local friendships. The appointment, aided by Bishop Glass, followed Rev Patrick Mannion’s ill health in Eureka. City Board approves district claims and power company warrant

The city board of commissioners last evening approved the J. J. Moran company claim for work in district No. 116 totaling 25053 72 and the J. FY. O'Neill Construction sidewalk rating in district 40 amounting to 827 25. The Utah Power & Light Company claim for city rights in October totaling 1952 24 was allowed and the auditor directed to draw a warrant.

Stream of whiskey and beer ordered destroyed in Huntaville

A July 4 search at Hoken Ot fen's premises in Huntarille yielded 282 bottles of beer 7 pints of Sueny Prook whiskey and Ral jon Jug of whiskey plus several small bottles. Sheriff DeVine received a court order from Judge J. A. Howell to destroy the liquor an action taken as Huntaville lay in dry territory. The sheriff will carry out the destruction today due to the wet roads and legal nate grounds cited.
