Firemen killed and wounded in Cleveland streetcar barn blaze
Three firefighters died and two were injured when a blaze at the Cleveland Electric Railway streetcar barn on Holmden avenue and Pearl street ripped through the four acre building housing 100 motors. Duffy Schweda and Reed died after a wall collapsed, while Corrigan and Vandevelde were hospitalized with serious injuries. Battalion Chief Andrews was lightly hurt. The cause is suspected incendiary origin.
