George Twombley, the Cincinnati tied outfielder, is said to have the most remarkable throwing arm in the big leagues. He does not throw farther than average but he throws with amusing accuracy, and some claim he could bounce the ball off any corner of home plate from deep center.
Los Angeles reports Frank Chance may return to the Chicago Cubs with an asking price of $25,000 for two shares. Chance says if he can win with the Cubs his value rises to $26,000 per season, otherwise he would be worth nothing to them. Negotiations are said to be underway with Power.
Pat Gilbert of Salt Lake and Lee Morrissey of Pocatello meet for a two round leftweight championship bout at the Elite Athletic club in Ogden. The show includes Kid Davis, Dilly Johnson, Jack Ryan, and Willie Hogan in four round bouts. Doors open at 8 oclock at the national guard armory on Twenty fourth street.
Princeton reports the varsity squad drilled in new offensive formations for the Yale game next Saturday with star kicker Tibbett possibly out of shape. Moore, saddled by minor injuries from the Harriman game, participated as did most players in a lengthy dummy scrimmage and signal work under Coach Tuah with Edwin Hart observing.
New York reports a tight race among leading college teams after last week’s football games. Georgia Tech leads with 206 points and Vanderbilt with 30, while Penn State, Syracuse, and Michigan are close behind. Brown Georgetown Pittsburgh and Notre Dame trail but near the leaders as the season tightens. Army’s Gliphant and Maul are noted among standout players.

Professor Howard R Driggs of the University of Utah will give the memorial address with the eulogy by Rev W W Fleetwood. The program also includes lodge ritual led by Exalted Ruler W C Camp and several musical selections by the Elks orchestra.
