Bounty Paid On Pests In Brigham City Area

In Brigham City Utah May 30 trappers and hunters report large numbers of jack rabbits cothed copher and squirrels as bounty earnings rise since the state began paying for pests. To date 1 952 jack rabbits have been killed earning 5 cents each 386 round snails killed at 2 cents and 127 gophers at 3 cents each. The pests are widespread in parts of the county causing notable damage. Separately near Wagon Heber City May 29 the body of Aturew F Anderson 50 of Provo Beach was found late yesterday afternoon in Strawberry Valley thirty miles east of Heber City. The discovery was made by Gail Fisher who tends livestock in the area. The body lay beside Andersons wagon with his horses grazing nearby. Cause of death undisclosed authorities notified.
