Kronprinz Wilhelm and Eitel Friedrich Recall Historic Raider Cruise
A detailed account recalls the German commerce raiders Kronprinz Wilhelm and Eitel Friedrich docking at Newport News after a long Atlantic cruise that sank merchant ships, killed and captured crews, and evaded British forces. The narrative chronicles encounters with Indian Prince and Karlsruhe, their battles, sea losses, and the raiders' claimed prowess for the Fatherland.
