Salt Lake May 19 Adolph Behinkle starred in a 5 to 1 victory over Oakland, lifting Bees to first place. Behinkle allowed few hits, shut down the Oaks in late innings, and earned a complete performance as Salt Lake built a lead and held on despite several Oakland threats.
Yesterday's results show Oakland A's 3, Baltimore New York? Noting confusion. San Francisco Portland 5, San Francisco 0. Los Angeles Vernon game with Fame postponed.
May 18 After a futile attempt to walk from first to beyond base due to mud the Ver ion and Los Angeles clubs postponed the game. A doubleheader will be played tomorrow with the first game at 1:30. Rain is due again and lumber used to dry the field will be saved for other tasks.
