Hand of Mercy Red Cross in War Zone Details
The American Red Cross runs twenty dispensaries in the Army Zone in France to aid needy families and improve health for troops. It houses and feeds thousands of children to shield them from gas and shell fire. The Zone is divided into six districts with workers distributing cooking utensils, beds, clothing and food. Builders provide ready-to-use housing for the homeless even before debris cools. Over two hundred tons of supplies arrive in Paris daily, with 125 tons reshipped to branch warehouses in France. An artificial limb factory operates outside Paris along with plants for splints. What will you give to keep this Hand of Mercy at its work.
