Ogden High School hosts senior dance with Thatcher Orchestra

Last evening at the Ogden High School auditorium senior class members and invited guests enjoyed a dancing party. The Thatcher orchestra provided music from evening hours with refreshments served. The auditorium was decorated in class colors and pennants.

A program by Miss Ivine Shields' students from a blind and deaf school will occur within two weeks. The program features two special acts including a magical attraction and an operetta titled The Golden Sickle performed by Miss Shields' class.

Ogden social calendar and local gatherings update

The Serand and a balk of the Mu sciana union plan a Verthana event next Monday evening featuring a forty-two piece orchestra and forty-three piece band to entertain Ogdan citizens. A band concert will conclude with a march to the city hall where Grey will perform a band concert.

Swanson Returns Home After Camp Meade Visit

Month old school report notes Mies Swanson, after an error at Camp Logan base hospital in Texas, was headed to Mira months before leaving Ox ten from Dee hospital where she served as night supervisor. She is now at her parents home, Mr. and Mrs. John Swanson, 97 Twenty Fourth Street.

Women organize Home Bureau in Third Ward meeting

The Third Ward women met at Mound Port School and organized the Home Bureau. Temporary officers elected included Mrs Edward Ditsel chairing the committee, with Mrs E B Paine, Mrs Charles Shaw, Mrs J J Anderson, and Mrs Fred Redfield serving. Milas Potter spoke on food for two year old children. In the Seventh Ward a dancing party in the amusement hall drew about fifty couples with Jones band providing music and refreshments served.

Miriam Chapter Dance Party Planned At Verbena

The Miriam Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and Masonic clubs plan a dancing party at the Verbana on Tuesday April 22. Miss Lillian Thatcher's orchestra will provide a program of dances, with committees appointed to manage duties for an enjoyable social event for members and friends.

Local residents arrive from New York City for visit

Mrs William Anderson Corn Lioutenant and Mrs Willan Anderson Corn arrive in Qeden last Friday from New York City. They are tied to Ale, and Mrs A J Brewer and Aly, and Mrs S T Core while here. Lieutenant Corn has been on active duty on the battleship South Dakota during the war and for months since. Alea Cara is among the city's most popular young, and before her mate Miss Heatrice Brewer.
