Lakeview Progress and Warnings From a Prospective Oregon Town
WEH Blodgett writes of Lakeview Oregon as a young, growing valley town near Goose Lake. The Oregon Valley Land Company has bought most property, plans 10 acre lots, and will irrigate with dams on Drew and Cottonwood creeks using up to 74,000 acre feet. Transportation is poor, costs are high, and a cautious forecast urges staying away for a year or two despite new mills and strong orchards and water resources.
