Government Arguments End in Utah Bankruptcy Case

Salt Lake March 22 The government finished the argument yesterday afternoon in the case of Hyman Lewis and eight other Utah and Idaho sharers charged with concealing assets of the Lexis Shoe company from the referee in bankruptcy. The session adjourned until 1 o'clock.

Testimony Concerning Shipments to Idsho and Others

Testimony described alleged shipments of prices to Idsho and other points. Ben Davis, earlier in the week, testified about shipments of stoel and money hidden in a straw box in Julius Rosenberg’s Salt Lake offices and was questioned again by District Attorney W. W. Ray. J. Blanksky, a Baltimore advertising man, testified he had written ads for the Lewis Bhoo company before bankruptcy. Additional witnesses included W. White of Toblnean Brothers Shoe Co, Oshamme Acord of Leonomy Shoe, Herbert Lexison, J. Leon Bone, Ashby D. Boyle, Lt. Brohr cashier of New York Life, Carl Adaniz driver, Gam Metz shoe dealer of Mateh Idaho, and J. W. Edmunds public accountant. Government witnesses from Maho were excused and many left for home.

London March 21 Sir George Patsh a noted financial authority states in a Royal Statistical Society lecture that England's income has risen by 600 million pounds since the war's start bringing the total to 3 billion. He notes the nation has maintained productive power despite 4 million workers leaving industries and significant capital sent abroad for loans and foreign country support.
