A joint committee of 12 finalized a draft for a state liquor regulation bill to be sent to both houses. The plan includes local option with county units, 10 pm closures on weekdays, 46 pm on Saturdays, single public entrance and back employee entrance, and felony penalties for violations. The measure faces Senate opposition but solid support in the House.

B.232 by Archibald classifying cities, B19 by Benner Smith on property distribution in cities, and Rf. 6& by Koenier funding court expenses in water rights cases. Telluride Power and Transmission plans to upgrade Utah’s electric grid by replacing wooden poles with steel towers along the Logan to Salt Lake route. The deceased, born in Antwerp on March 24, 1972, died at the L D hospital on Sunday March 14 from an acute Bright's disease. He leaves a wife and four children. Funeral services are set for tomorrow at 2 PM at the Seventeenth ward meeting house. He joined the Mormon church in 1890 and moved to Utah in 1896.
Robert Beare longtime chief mail clerk for the Union Pacific between Ogden and Cheyenne is bedfast in Cheyenne after paralysis from prolonged service. A prior crane accident with a broken shoulder and a head blood vessel burst preceded the current illness. friends fear he may not survive.
City Recorder ER P Brown has been bedbound for six weeks due to kidney trouble. Doctors Osgood Hick performed surgery after which his condition remained precarious though occasional reports from relatives spoke of improvement. Brother Dr Brown of Bountiful has assisted and remains hopeful for recovery.

The list also records Mrs Eloseteers Brookie Mrs Gertle Bishop and several other women names.
