Colonel N E Linsley of Spokane leads the Northwestern Mining association revival to promote and protect mining. The group will discuss tariffs, a uniform tax on non producing properties, mining laws, state geology surveys, and a system to catalog new prospects for investors. Spokane editor K Armstrong to serve as secretary. Spokane figures Willam Poole and associates sold the Nugget mine in British Columbia for 400000, payable in monthly installments. The Mc Martins of Cobnit Ont paid 200000 for two properties, 10 percent down. The Nugget mine mill is in operation. Active development resumes March at Tom O Shanter Mining Co in Evolution district Coeur d Alenes.

A shaft apex vein ore prospect near the Coeur dAlenes shows 12 feet ore exposure with silver and lead values. Edward Bisman reports a 200 foot drift on the vein to reach 40 feet beneath the shaft, with plans to extend 6 800 feet to subsurface. Assays show 255.6 ounces silver and 7.12 percent lead.
