Chicago blanked Pittsburg nine 9 to 0 in a decisive intercity clash. Leifield pitched well, Adama and Hoffman contributed key hits, while none of the visitors reached base twice.
Cincinnati beat St Louis 6 4 as Poop fell in the first inning, and Hutteries led with two home runs. Detroit routed St Louis 10 4 to even the series, while Cleveland topped Chicago 6 4 in a five pitcher duel. Boston edged Washington 2 1 on a late wild pitch, and New York defeated Philadelphia 12 5 after a seven-run eighth. Yale beat Harvard 4 2 in college baseball as Harvard plated all runs in the first two innings.
Weeks day schedule effective June 15 1910 shows first car from Union Depot at 6 20 am with service every forty minutes until 11 00 pm. First car from Hermitage at 6 55 am and 7 40 am with service every forty minutes until 11 40 pm. The 6 33 am car from Hermitage connects with the 7 30 am Bamberger train for Salt Lake. W Bailey Supt.
Reports describe a powder blast in a tunnel pocket causing a deadly flash that killed six companions and the foreman. The cause is debated between an electric globe spark suspended over the pocket and a spark from a steel shovel. Investigators will continue the inquiry.

Christina Johanna Erickson’s funeral was held at the Wilson Ward meeting house at two oclock. A large crowd attended as Bishon Edward Bingham led services assisted by John Martin C. Lindquist and President Pradir Stratton. Speakers praised her noble qualities as wife mother neighbor and church member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Music by Wilson ward choir and male quartet featured songs including I Need Thee Every Hour Oh My Father and Sometimes We’ll Understand. Burial proceeded to Gly cemetery with a large cortege.
