Electrical haulage via the Carr's Fork tunnel and Mascotte tunnel connections are planned, potentially linking multiple mines and expanding production across the canyon.

Watch Fink Smelter Make Copper Matte

Bursts of Samuel Newhouse from New York City Honduras and Norway were sent to the Pink smelter at Arthur near Garfield for experimental work outlined by inventor Edward Fink. The plant produced a copper matte 80 percent, with demonstrations planned for engineers and metallurgists. The temporary setup runs without major issues, though permanency and refinements are pending. Reports say the process may prove feasible and promising as a permanent plant could improve reliability and output.
