Brooklyn and Cincinnati split a doubleheader with the first game 11 to 2 for Cincinnati and the second 4 to 2 in Brooklyn’s favor. New York and Pittsburgh also split their twin bill with a 10-2 win for New York in the opener and a 9 to 5 Pittsburgh victory in the second. Philadelphia and Chicago notes appear, with Philadelphia’s lineup and players listed in partial form.

The Montana league and Intermountain league teams opened action with Skye Ferapere breaking even at Mutie Inne doubles likely. Helena tritarard Taviogsien at Helena also seen. Fans expect Helena Toreman Doht to the end as Feegeman team has many friends in Salt Lake.
East Lake City Utah July 12 The Wah Copper team of Garfield quarters defeated the Oregon Short Line team by 9 to 7 in a fast amateur game Garfield. The Copper lads challenge any amateur team in the state Batteries Utah Copper Singleton and Young Oregon Short Line Adren and Shults.
An interleague baseball series played here yesterday featured the Dughats Albertas and the Willard Canning company. Willard Hose won by 1 to 0. The team lineup included players from Willard and surrounding counties. Next game scheduled for Saturday at Usteham.

Detroit July 12 The 7th annual Glidden tour of the American Automobile Association launched from Hotel Font Chartrain at 7 20 in the morning. Bia pilot car led the way as thirty cars paraded to Sadillac Square with officials and observers marking the start. The convoy proceeded toward Chicago Minneapolis and Denver, with the first contestant sent off by a premier car and the rest called in one minute intervals.
Salt Lake July 42 Clifford Kra mer the jockey appeared before Judge Dowman on grand larceny charges after Opie allegedly stole clothing worth 100 from a tatter. He was brought back from Denver and bound over to district court for hearing. The case unfolded with Waiver of preliminary hearing and Protty Sheriff Azel Sterle aiding in return.
Lee Annetes reports two big fights scheduled for Elka week. Bent tomorrow features Nelson favored 10 to 6 against Wolgast, with Britt expected to show. A pond show and possible upset keep fans engaged as Billy Papke and Jim Flynn battle later in the week.
Special dispatch from Montreal reports Jim Jeffries saying he will not fight Jack Johnson under any terms. He cites lack of condition and reluctance to fight a Black challenger as the reason while plans for an exhibition in Basing near Geeling are mentioned but canceled.
