Boy Fleeing Montana Father Is Apprehended At Union Station

One year old Frank Sullivan was taken into custody by Detective A G Jensen at Butte's Union Station after fleeing his father, who reported the boy missing to the Butte authorities. The boy's mother, living in Idaho, had urged his return to her roaming house, while Montana law said he could choose his parent if he left the state. The child described his mother as kind and said she needed him to help her, explaining his father refused his request to visit. The case centers on custody and interstate moves amid a family split of two years and a pending draft registration in Lake City Idaho.
