Salt Take December 12 two intoxicated men driving a buggy rushed down Main Street causing a buggy collision on Main and South Streets. Thomas Maron was severely injured when thrown from the buggy as the horses bolted. He was carried to a nearby home and later to hospital. Five men were later sentenced to one year at state prison for burglary in separate cases.
