Callahan Named Pittsburg Manager in National League

Pittsburg reports President Barry Dreyfus announced that James J. Callahan former Chicago White Sox manager has been appointed manager of the Pittsburg National League team to succeed Fred Clarke. The one year contract followed Callahan’s Chicago tenure and Dreyfus left for New York to report on a peace plan involving the major and Federal leagues.

Yokel and Turner to Meet in December Wrestling Bout

Promoters announce Yokel and Turner will wrestle at Salt Lake theater with a 49 percent to promoter share and 60 percent split between wrestlers. Turner rides in from Ninghan to finalize contracts while Yokel trains for peak form.

Salem N J December 17 authorities of Salem county continued to investigate the record of John Sadunba a former Du Pont Powder Company employee at Carney s Point He is under arrest on a technical charge of larceny Magistrate Harris D Smith said the planner was regarded as a duplicitous person Explaining no formal Du Pont complaint was filed in connection with any plot to damage its property Brodoba was arrested yesterday after small quantities of explosives and a pair of gloves used by powder workers were found in his room The magistrate noted the prisoner had prior larceny and burglary convictions and carries several aliases.
