New ditcher to aid line construction joins Ogden crew
An American Holst and Derrick company team from St Paul arrived by train to commission a new ditcher for the Oregon Abort Line Company. The machine, latest in its class, will work between Ogden and Salt Lake on roadbed construction for a second track. It can move 500 to 800 yards of earth in ten hours and requires two or three days to train operators, promising double the output of existing ditchers.
