Magnates Adopt New 22-Player Rule for 1917 Pennant

New York December 12 Routine business at the National League meeting included adopting a 1917 rule allowing clubs to carry twenty two players from May 15 to August 31 replacing the prior twenty one. The meeting also planned a constitutional amendment to expand the board of directors from five to eight.
